What should I do to prepare for my facial?

Nothing really! You’re welcomed to wear make-up but be prepared that it will be washed off. Gentlemen, if you have a mild 5 o’clock shadow you don’t mind parting with, we ask that you shave 48 to 72 hours prior to your appointment to prevent irritation.

I have some concerns since I’m currently on a strict medical treatment. Can I still get a facial?

Unfortunately if you are Accutane (Isotretinoin), we will not be able to service you. We recommend to wait 6 months after completion of treatment for your facial.

How often should I have a facial?

It depends on your skin! On average, a facial is recommended between 4 to 6 weeks. We also take in to consideration and modify our plans if you have any medical histories or procedures (ie skin laser, botox, etc) that our services might counteract.

Where are you located?

Newborn Skin is located under the Cast Iron Lofts in Jersey City, NJ

How is parking in the area?

There is metered street parking and garage parking. If you plan on parking in the street, give yourself a 15 minute grace period. If you plan on parking in the garage, there is a small fee.

Are appointments required?

Yes, we are only accepting appointments. We are open on Monday, Wednesday, and alternating Saturdays & Sundays.

What time should I arrive prior to my appointment?

Newborn Skin will always prioritize your skin’s needs and wants. Adequate time is needed for the treatments, so please arrive a few minutes earlier than your scheduled services and allot time for parking. Upon your arrival, please locate Newborn Skin on the touchpad and we will let you in once it is time for your appointment. A 10 minute grace period is granted to all clients but some services will need to be abbreviated. If you know that you will be more than 10 minutes late, we will need to reschedule the appointment

What is your policy on cancellations/no shows?

Newborn Skin requires a credit card to reserve an appointment. Per our policy, Newborn Skin requires notice 12 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. IN THE EVENT THAT YOU ARE IN THE 12 HOUR WINDOW OF YOUR RESERVATION, NEWBORN SKIN WILL CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE BASED ON THE DURATION OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. 50% OF THE SERVICE SCHEDULED WILL BE CHARGED FOR NO SHOWS.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa and Cash. We do not accept personal checks and gratuities may not be added to credit card sales. Please understand that we do not offer refunds on services rendered. However, we are committed to doing everything in our power to guarantee your satisfaction.
